Philippians 3:13-14 New King James Version
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Sermon Notes: Beyond the Building
The apostle Paul was a firm believer in forward progress.
Paul vividly explained that he left the past in the past, and pressed forward toward the heavenly goal.
And like Paul, we must not focus on the failures of our past; nor can we afford to focus on the fears of the future.
We must simply keep pressing forward for Christ.
Now, to make forward progress it will require two things of us as servants of Jesus Christ:
And that is Focus and Faith.
Our focus should always be moving forward and we must also be a people of faith.
To make forward progress, we must:
FEAR NOT
FAINT NOT
FIRED UP
Oh, what a change it would make in our world in Forward Progress.
Beyond the Building!
