Proverbs 30:5-9 New King James Version
5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
7 Two things I request of You (Deprive me not before I die):
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches—Feed me with the food allotted to me;
9 Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.
SERMON NOTES: What's The Word?
Have you ever been somewhere in some situation and heard the statement, “What’s the word?”
We all doing in some form or fashion.
We even do it in our Spiritual life.
So, today let me give you some wise words about the Word of God. First… The word of God is consistent.
It is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. His word never changes.
Second: The word of God is contagious.
And in order for it to be contagious then we as Christians need to be the one to spread that word.
Third: The word of God confirms.
If you profess to be a Christian and you want to confirm your relationship with the Lord then there will be a change.
And last: The word gives us the solution.
This verse must be taken in its context. "Give me my daily portion - That I not be full and deny You and say, "Who is the LORD?"
Or that I not be in want and steal, and profane the name of my God."
Having too much of anything can be dangerous, but so can having too little.
Let us be the ones who receives the word and go out and bear fruit with it.
What’s the Word? The Word is JESUS!
